Clay Fair RV Park, Green Cove Springs, FL
Can you tell we made it to Florida? Tall skinny pine trees, no shade, and flat.
We spent the better part of two weeks (July 8-20, 2021) in Clay County, Florida registering vehicles and getting new drivers licenses.
All of the registrations and issuing of the new drivers licenses was completed during one appointment at the Clay County Tax Collector’s office in Green Cove Springs. Before arrival, I had tons of questions and the customer service folks at the Tax office were were very knowledgeable. With their information and information provided by our mail service we were well prepared for the dual purpose appointment.
While in Clay County we stayed at the campground connected to the Clay County Fairgrounds. Website: https://www.claycountyfair.org/p/about/clayfairrvpark. The RV park is not a resort by any measure, but they have 50 amp power service (very important if you have two A/C units like we do), water and sewer. It is also well kept. The park is fenced with a gate that stays closed so you have less traffic than in other places we have been. It is also the closest RV park to downtown Green Cove Springs.
We had a very good meal at Longhorn Steakhouse in Orange Park. The Dunkin in Green Cove Springs served up very fresh donuts and the coffee was good, not as strong as Starbuck’s but good.
